Night Moth

According to a counselor at a Berlin support service, quoted by the German newspaper Die Welt, nearly every second woman in Berlin’s brothels is Ukrainian. The war drives women into the hands of pimps and traffickers: since 2022, La Strada’s partner organizations alone have helped more than 1,500 victims from Ukraine. People don’t usually talk about this consequence of the war — but they should! It is a humanitarian disaster and yet more proof of the utter wretchedness and moral depravity of the male world. It is infuriating beyond words that the war will end up sweeping even this under the rug.
